The American Dream: Do what you gotta do
When I think about being 23, “in between,” and in lots of debt… [:-(]
it makes me wonder: Did it have to be this way? Did I have another way around it all?
Then I find stuff like this : Craigslist Joe [SO going to see that!] and the obvious answer is Yes. Maybe not to that extreme but nonetheless there are loopholes and shortcuts to be taken advantage of.

To bide my time while everyone else works all day, and to earn the cash to carry me through the awkward transition period of full-time employment to full-time poor as shit student, I am doing odd-jobs for people I know. Everything from organizing those corners of your house you half hate and half wish you knew what was in there these days to deep cleaning toilets, to managing PR and Facebook for my uncle’s restaurant.
Is it the ideal vacation? Eh, not so much. But I’m doing what I could on short notice and making it work. Scraping together a buck here and there with odd-jobs makes me feel pleasantly similar to Craigslist Joe, and that’s something I don’t mind at all.
